Several years ago the Chicago Tribune reported that a business consultant surveyed 110 executives to find out what excuses they hear from their employees. Heading the list was “It’s not my fault.” A close second was “It’s somebody else’s fault.” Third was “Something else came up.” Fourth was “I didn’t have time,” followed by “We’ve never done it that way before.” Other excuses were “No one told me to do it,” “No one showed me how to do it,” “I had too many interruptions ,” and “I’ll get to it later.” Excuses don’t impress anyone, least of all God. Where’s your priority ? That’s the question. “The way is too long, and the cross is too heavy,” is not the answer of someone who has love in his heart and knows his goal in his life. | .. | 字彚 Consultant 顧問 Executive 主管 Interruption 干擾,中斷 Priority 優先秩序 好幾年前芝加哥論壇報有這樣一則消息,有位企業顧問針對一百一十位主管作調查,詢問他們所聽到的員工藉口有哪些。 名列第一的是「這不是我的錯。」很接近第一的是「這是別人的錯」。 第三名是「中間有別的突發事件。」第四名為「我沒時間,」下面是「我們以前從來不這樣做。」 其他的藉口還有「沒人告訴我要做這個,」「沒人教我怎麼做,」「太多干擾的事,」以及「我等一下再去處理。」 藉口一籮筐,不會使任何人對你有好印象,更不會取悅神。 你的優先秩序是什麼?這才是問題所在。「路途太遙遠,十架太沉重,」這可不是心中有愛、生活有目標者的回答。 思考與應用 1. 你會不會很容易聽出別人的藉口? 2. 如果常說藉口很難讓人有好印象,應該怎樣說才對呢? |
